Propane Emergency Training
The MPGA is pleased to announce the continued Propane Emergency training opportunity for Fire Departments in the State of Michigan. For over a decade, the MPGA Propane Emergency Training Team has visited nearly every county to offer this state certified training which counts for continuing education credits. The training is available at no cost as the MPGA continues to fully fund this program for you and your personnel. The MPGA is committed to safety and is offering this “hands-on” training opportunity to any fire department that wants to participate. These trainings are intended to be regional trainings, and we encourage all surrounding departments in the area to attend so that the MPGA can train as many personnel in the region as possible. The Office of Fire Fighters Training (OFFT), our certifying body, will also post the trainings in its SMOKE system.
The training courses include both indoor and outdoor components, both are required for the state certificate and continuing education credits. The outdoor component is live fire training. Full turn out gear and SCBA are required for certification. Click on the dates below for details.
